woke up at 630am today. the mattress is super thin. pillow was weird. it was those kind that once you lie on in, there's a head print there. ah yes! it felt like sand! at least the room is super cool (literally).
breakfast was good! it was either ham and egg sandwich or a potato sandwich. chose the ham and egg. it was GOOD. the hot milk tea was great too. then we had breaks in between that were weirdly timed. its too short to do anything productive, but too long to just muck around. and the internet isnt getting any better.
OMG. we're gonna have lunch everyday at the restaurant in the campus! that's like the only time we get to go out! o right. forgot to mention. the entire lot of us got grounded and are now stuck in the hostel. why? because 2 people forgot to bring down their passport to hand to the teachers! so we're grounded for an ENTIRE week. jeez. that sucks.
then there was this ppt presentation on how our life in taiwan is supposed to be like. we get these coupons for dinner, and can go to a total of 6 restaurants around the area and get up to NT80 of free food! sounds like alot of money? that's just SGD$4. but since we cant go out, the teachers packed back for us to eat. back to the point. this lady called Eating (her chinese name is like Yi ting or sth) went thru the entire ppt. then this guy came on stage and repeated the entire thing! seriously! we went through the ppt slides TWICE. SO BORING.
after that was working group discussion time. the working group is like the group where we do up our own ppt, yearbook pages and other stuff. FEELS GOOD TO BE A SEC3 IN THE ENTIRE BUNCH OF SEC2S! my job is the english report on the yearbook page! haha. gives me an excuse to practice my english.
then it was free time! spent the time upstairs at the gymnasium where there are 2 pool tables and a table tennis table! i cant play pool to save my life, but im NOT TOO BAD at table tennis. and i never even knew that mabel low was a table tennis played in her primary school! she was super pro! unfortunately, we played doubles. the ball kept flying off the table and into the nearby treadmills (coz it is a gymnasium) and we were so afraid that the people running on the treadmills will step on the ball and trip and fall down. and then of course, there were those numerous ball that kept hitting random people working out at the various workout stations. it was really funny larh! cuier kept flapping her arms everytime the ball came to her coz she was super panicky. haha. and claire and mabel were like super violent! kept whacking the ball left right centre and WAY OFF THE TABLE. like halfway thru the game i swear we might as well not have used a table! it was more like badminton.
dinner! it was great! the teachers packed back korean cuisine! the kimchi was SUPER SPICY. and everyone was dying of spicy-ness. but it was really great! especially when you compared it to like yesterday's meals.
after dinner played more table tennis. everytime we hit the ball, we cant hit it without bursting into laughter. i think it was the after dinner mood, but i kept getting whacked by the ball instead of whacking it. oops.
went back to the room at 9pm for bed check. the teachers bought our room a large bottle of showergel and shampoo. and blur angie mixed both of them up. and then she went like 'no wonder the shampoo smelled so funny' and 'OH NO! I ACTUALLY HAVE THAT SHAMPOO WHICH I JUST USED AS A BODYWASH AT HOME!' it was hilarious. did laundry for the first time in my life. washed the most stuff in one night than i ever did in my life. ><
now back in the room. still have CHINESE REFLECTIONS to do. due tomorrow morning. gah. ok. gonna do them now.
